Dutchstartupjobs.com is a recently launched website with job openings at Dutch startup companies. The website offers a single view on the many opportunities that are available. The website is an initiative by two founders from the startup world: Paul O’Connell and Corinne Buschhüter.
Dutchstartupjobs is a free to use service for any startup that operates within the Netherlands. The definition of ‘startup’ used is any innovative growing business not older than 4 years of age. “The site will always be free to use” says co-initiator Corinne Buschhüter. “Through this concept we should attain more users and promote paid positions which will offer them temporary visibility”. DutchStartupJobs.com is primarily intended to make it easier and faster to meet potential new team members. It also promotes the concept of startups to young professionals and students who would not have known of the startup environment and the interesting, adventurous alternative to a ‘normal’ corporate career.
Demand
“Our website is the direct result of personal frustration,” says designer and organiser Paul O’Connell. “That’s always strong motivation for a new product. In my own startups we encountered the problem a lot. It was a nightmare letting people know we were looking and finding talent right for our team. When it appeared that fellow colleagues had the same problem, it was time to do something about it.” The website is already in demand with startups: more than 20 positions are already available, including 5 co-founder positions.
