Sponsor Me, If You Will | Malone Dot CC

I’ve had some free time this week, so I’ve been reading the archives of my favourite bloggers (particularly John Gruber, Marco Arment and related Apple guys). After binging on these sites for some time, I’ve come to a strange conclusion:

These clever bastards all have sponsorships.

These guys get paid each week to post a sponsorship (essentially a text ad) in their feeds, for cool websites and fancy geek products. On John Gruber’s sponsorship page for Daring Fireball, it shows that he makes eight and a half thousand dollars a week purely off of sponsorship posts. Eight grand! I mean sure, the reason he can charge that much is because he has millions of readers built up over years of quality content, but who’s to say I can’t start the party early?

I hereby announce to my seven readers (six if you don’t count my girlfriend) that Malone Dot CC is now accepting sponsorships. I have barely any stuff posted, almost no fanbase and my blog is styled with a default WordPress theme, but that just means you’re getting a bargain.
