Subject:
an amazingly moving night and well done video
as has been previously mentioned,
the segments where aaron's girlfriend speaks, and
where Carl Malamud closes, are quite amazing.
Carl was on fire that night, and the video feed of it does not disappoint, either!
Thank you friends, coworkers, and acquaintances for creating such a memorable night to remember Aaron by. He died far too young, hunted by damned bullies who went way too far.
Your amazing little burning light has gone out way too early.
Before age 27, Aaron had done so so much. I'm thankful I got to work with/around him for just a little bit when he started http://openlibrary.org
Rest in Peace

powerful speakers and memories
Amazing, talks, not only in capturing a bit of Aron Swartz persona, but also in crystallizing the "free" idealism that drove him, and can help drive us all as we push forward.

Aaron Swartz memorial: sad, but also a call to action
I highly recommend the whole thing, but the calls to action from Aaron's girlfriend Taren http://archive.org/details/AaronSwartzMemorialAtTheInternetArchive?start=659
and Open Access activist Carl Malamud http://archive.org/details/AaronSwartzMemorialAtTheInternetArchive?start=4954 are gripping compelling and important.
